The insurer and service provider for the travel and trip cancellation coverage in your GroupHEALTH benefits plan has changed. This update offers more comprehensive coverage and improves your plan members’ overall benefits experience.

LET YOUR PLAN MEMBERS KNOW ABOUT THIS CHANGE
By copying and pasting the following wording in an email to your plan members, you can let them know about this change and give them direct access to online resources to support them.

Important: Refer to your benefits booklet to confirm if this coverage is excluded from your plan.

An Important Change To Your Employee Benefits Plan

EMAIL BODY:

I wanted to let you know that GroupHEALTH has changed the provider for the travel and trip cancellation coverage in your employee benefits plan. This change offers you an improved overall benefits experience and, in some cases, more robust coverage.

With Out of Country Travel Coverage & Trip Cancellation, emergency medical assistance and coverage when travelling outside of Canada is provided by Industrial Alliance, while Trident Global Assistance manages all inquiries, emergency support, and claims. If you are traveling outside of Canada and need assistance, you will need to contact Trident Global Assistance.
