WEBS is updating its password requirements and adding additional security features to better protect plan member data and strengthen overall system security.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Starting June 23, 2025, the minimum password length will increase from 8 to 12 characters.
- No action is needed right now. The new rule will apply the next time you update your password—either voluntarily or during your next prompted 6-month reset.
- New WEBS password requirements are: Minimum of 12 to a maximum of 20 characters, containing at least one uppercase, one lowercase, one number, and one special character from _$%^&+=!?
- WEBS accounts will be locked after 8 failed login attempts within 20 minutes. If your account becomes locked reach out to your GroupHEALTH/GroupSource Representative for assistance.
- Web browsers will no longer automatically remember and pre-fill your WEBS username and password.
- If you’ve saved your login through a browser account (like Google Chrome) or a password manager (like Keeper), you can still use those tools to log in as usual.
- This change prevents your credentials from being automatically filled in for the next person who uses the same device or browser.
If you have any questions about these changes, please contact you’re your GroupHEALTH Representative.
