Enrolling an Over-Age Dependent

If a member wishes to enroll a dependent child who is over the maximum age specified in your Benefits Handbook, they must complete an Application for Over-Age Dependent Child Benefits Coverage. Confirmation may be required that the dependent child is a student in full-time attendance at an accredited post-secondary institution, mainly dependent on the member and is not married.

Tip!

Each year, when summer approaches and school lets out, it’s the perfect time to confirm dependent eligibility.

 

WEBS™ will automatically generate an application with your billing statement for any members with an over-age dependent child. Members must complete the application as of
the date indicated on the form in order to keep the dependent on the plan.

As a Plan Administrator, you can make this change directly in WEBS™, or upload the completed application to the File Service tab in WEBS.
